Keadaan seperti sekarang ini jujur membuat saya sedikit malas dengan scene BMX, walaupun saya sendiri bergumul dengan scene ini. Memang ada satu yang tidak pernah berhenti, yaitu perubahan. Perubahaan akan selalu ada di setiap sisi, pemikiran, pilihan, keadaan. Jujur aku malas dengan istilah senioritas dan junioritas dalam suatu scene, namun sudah seharusnya untuk tidak melupakan begitu saja mereka-mereka yang lebih tua, tongkat estafet pasti akan terus di pegang secara bergantian, mereka yang sudah berlari memberikan kawannya yang berada di depannya, dimana jauh sebelum kita, mereka telah membangun scene ini di Semarang.

Namun pemandangan yang terlihat sekarang ini tidak seperti yang diharapkan, semua seakan-akan lebih terlihat biasa saja dan tidak peduli akan keberadaan yang sebelumnya, entah mereka memang benar-benar tidak tahu atau tidak peduli. Semoga saja tulisan saya salah disini. Maksudku di sini hanya satu, jangan lupakan orang-orang di scene yang telah membangun apa yang sedang kamu jalani sekarang ini, dan semoga kamu paham betul apa yang sudah kamu pilih menjadi bagian dari lifestyle mu, bukan hanya untuk numpang aktualisasi diri atau numpang trendy karena NOWADAYS TREND IS OUR BIGGEST ENEMY.

Kingdombmx adalah sebuah nama scene bmx di Semarang yang beberapa tahun lalu masih ada, namun karena seiring waktu berjalan, mereka yang berada di dalamnya harus menentukan suatu tujuan hidup yang lebih matang, mungkin disaat muda semua sama, yang terlintas di kepala hanya have fun all day long with your BMX, nongkrong bareng, ingin berkarir di BMX namun semuanya akan berubah pada saatnya, yakin! Akan mulai berpikir untuk get a job and get paid, get a structured life, maybe have a girlfriend. Saya tidak berkata BMX tidak penting atau mengkerdilkan hal ini, saya cuma ingin berkata semua pasti akan berubah, jangan lupakan orang-orang yang sudah lebih dahulu membangun scene mu, jangan menghargai mereka hanya sekedar dari seberapa banyak trik dan kompetisi yang mereka menangkan, aku rasa pemikiran kalian tidak sedangkal itu bukan, saya tahu kalian semua well educated, namun kita harus lebih melihat dan menghargai orang dari seberapa banyak hal yang telah mereka buat untuk membangun scene ( baca : sin ). JALUR SEPEDA REPORT

Tanggal 11 April 2010, hari Minggu pagi bertempat di halaman parkir Citraland, dibanjiri oleh pengendara sepeda hampir dari seluruh kota Semarang mulai dari BMX, Fixie, folding bike, SOC (Semarang Onthel Club), lowrider dan lainnya. Event ini membicarakan tentang kegelisahan mereka semua khususnya pengendara sepeda di Semarang yang memprihatinkan atas tidak adanya penghargaan terharap mereka para pengendara sepeda Tunututan mereka adalah di bangunnya infrastruktur khususnya jalur sepeda di Semarang. Sehingga mereka tidak was-was lagi akan keselamatan bagi pengendara sepeda di samping juga membawa misi go-green karena dengan mengendarai sepeda dari pada motor atau mobil kita ikut mengurangi polusi udara yang semakin gila ini, di sisi lain kesardaran manusianya yang masih rendah akan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan. Mungkin kalian akan berpikir dua kali untuk menggunakan sepeda sebagai transportasi sehari-hari di jalan raya, apalagi menjadikan sepeda sebagai bagian dari gaya hidup seperti BMX ( Bicycle Moto Cross ) atau Fixed gear, karena untuk saat ini pengendara sepeda di Indonesia bisa di bilang belum di hargai untuk faktor keselamatannya, tidak seperti di negara Belanda yang tingkat kesaradan warganya tinggi akan dampak bahaya polusi udara dan pemerintahan Belanda peduli akan keselamatan warga mereka yang mengendarai sepeda, negara Belanda dengan sengaja di wilayah tertentu mempersempit jalan bagi mobil ( hanya 2 jalur ) dan sisanya di jadikan jalur khusus bagi sepeda, dengan demikin tingkat antusias warga urban untuk menggunakan sepeda jadi semakin meningkat, karena mereka tidak perlu was-was akan keselamatan mereka saat mengendarai sepeda. Ini bisa di jadikan wacana bagi kita semua dan pemerintah.

Namun pernahkah kalian membayangkan kota Semarang ini memiliki jalur khusus bagi pengendara sepeda? Mungkin secara mayoritas masyarakat Semarang memiliki harapan yang sama, untuk di bangun jalur khusus bagi sepeda, entah karena mereka penggemar sepeda, untuk mengurangi polusi udara atau untuk alasan yang lainya. Jika jalur sepeda memang benar-benar akan di bangun di kota Semarang, dengan demikian secara otomatis masyarakat Semarang akan menjadi lebih yakin untuk sering menggunakan sepeda mereka sehari-sehari, tidak seperti pada kebanyakan orang yang cuma di hari minggu pagi saja karena jalanan kota Semarang yang relatif sepi. Mungkin dengan adanya jalur khusus sepeda ini membuat semua pengendara sepeda, baik yang sudah memiliki sepeda atau yang mulai tertarik untuk menggunakan sepeda menjadi lebih yakin dan bangga untuk menggunakan sepeda sebagai transportasi sehari-hari, baik untuk alasan kesehatan, mengurangi polusi, bagian dari lifestyle dan menjadi bagian dari masyarakat dengan tingkat kesadaran tinggi yang peduli dengan keseimbangan lingkungan. Our partner in crime asukrew wanna do some collaboration project with twentygrand and we have choosed Tee as our medium. I met up with Andre yesterday, one of asukrew who created and operated asukrew blog in one of nice cafe in Semarang which has beautiful view, then we talk about the concept and bla bla bla.

"A.Su krew, Aku A.su, Tekok o Su! Cut Cut A.su, Aku Sumuk. Twentygrand sing nduwe A.Su". If you ever watched a web video ASu Krew #1 and ASukrew #2 you would be still remember with a few sentences i wrote earlier, and also 2 people who behave in front of the camera with their local language which is Semarang City Central Java, discussing things that are not important to be attractive to look and hear. A few months ago they had completed their own blog asukrew & introducing their new logo that dominated by triangular shape and of course Asu (Dog). In the near future Twentygrand and ASukrew will gonna done a collaboration project in medium of tee shirt that represents you, your friends and the spirit to fight and survive. The plan is we will make this tees in a small amount, because we want to make this thing become one of your Tees collections. Just wait in a few months.

It’s an amazing blog (with an extreme nerd level) that strictly showcases photographers holding their cameras. The design you've seen above will be printed on a sticker. Sorry, maybe you don't understand what we are doing now, why we made and wrote a text "skateboard" on a twentygrand sticker? Ok maybe it sounds gay. Yes, our root basically in BMX, but is it a big mistake to support each other scene? No, I don't think so, in an open and positive mind we have to support each other without any exception even for other scene, we have to work hand in hand to raise up your own scene and hometown so they can believe about our existence.

We do this all are just to raise up "S-Town Skateboarding local scene" that rarely exposed by the media ( TV, Magazine, e-zine, or Blog ). Whereas after we get into the street, we are surprised cause we saw so many new blood that have a great talent. Sadly, the media in general they only exposed a skateboarder that has so many achievements in skate competition as their measuring rod, proper or not a skateboarder to be exposed in their media, i think they are and that was sucks!

If I could ask you now, is there any local media that expose and raising up the S-Town Skateboard scene? The most thing i've seen in this past few years are S-Town still targeted for being a consumers about skate info from outside Semarang than from their own hometown, just lets say a free Magazine start by a letter "H", the most thing that I've seen from the contents are just ads (ads:advertise), too many info about skateboarder from outside S-Town but less info about S-Town skate scene. Long time ago we had a lil chit-chat in personal with one of S-town local skateboarder, he had the same perspective mind with us but it just came to an idea and never come to be realized cause less support from the local skateboarder and they are too busy having fun with their skateboard deck without thinking how to raise up their own skate local scene.

Then what are we gonna do for S-Town skateboarder scene? Were not gonna be "Mr. Mee-too" by making a skateboard decks like our friend does and from a rumors that i heard he claimed his skateboard deck are purely local product but why he endorse skateboarder from outside S-Town? Such a weird. Hmm maybe it's about making money by using skateboard culture to make a profit by endorsing skill full skateboarder.

We only got blog, passion, Camcorder, and DSRL Camera, thats all our weapon to fight. We will be documenting about s-town skateboard local scene in every movement, but without any support from you all it couldn't be happened. Keep supporting us, for real. Movie ini berceritakan selama perang Dunia II terdapat sebuah kelompok tentara Jewish-America namun mereka lebih di kenal sebagai "The Basterd" yang memang di bentuk secara spesial untuk menyebarkan ketakutan kepada tentara SS Nazi Jerman dengan cara membunuh mereka secara brutal salah satunya dengan cara scalping ( mengupas kulit kepala musuh termasuk rambut mereka yang di anggap sebagai throphy kemenangan ) yang dianggap sebagai pembunuh maniak khusunya kaum jewish.

The Basterd tak lama kemudian bekerja sama dengan seorang remaja wanita French-Jewish yang menjalankan sebuah Movie Theatre di Paris yang menjadi target para tentara SS Nazi Jerman. The Vintage Skeleton is a designer that I came across on Flickr and have since looked forward to any new work that he puts up. So with that, I decided to throw some questions his way. Click below to check out a quick Q&A, some of his work and a wallpaper that you can hook up.

For those who are not familiar with The Vintage Skeleton, please tell us a little about yourself.
I am a freelance web and graphic designer that currently lives in Charlotte, NC.

How did that name come about?
It started when my brother picked on me and called me a “Skeleton” because of my weight. “Vintage” was added because I really started listening to old music in the 11th grade and I also worked at an antique store in my hometown in the summer time, which gave me an influence with the old design I saw.

Was there any one thing or inspiration that got you into design and overall just being creative?
Music and creative visuals plays a big part, and different types of design artists.

Your work has a great mix of images and text, do you have a certain process you go through to create each piece, or are they all different?
I go through a process where I look at a picture and catch a feeling of what it says.

You seem to be a fan of typography. True or false?
True, I like to go around the city or even the grocery store and name fonts I see companies use. It’s kind of like a game because one font can look the same as another one and if you really pay attention you can tell which one is the right one.

Is there a font you wish would disappear?
Actually two, Papyrus and Curlz Mt. Haha

Looking at your site, it seems like you mess with all kinds of design/artistic outlets (music, web etc…). Do you have a preference of what you enjoy working on most?
Graphic and Music the most. I feel like I have more control on those.

What is Air War Magazine?
Air War Magazine is an interactive magazine that features artist from all over the world. It started in 2007, but sadly ended in 2009. With school and freelance work I was only able to make 5 issues.

With the music side of things, what kind of equipment do you use?
Honestly just Fruity Loops 3.4 & Cool Edit Pro. I use those old programs because the usability is very easy and plus, if I integrate sounds from expensive keyboards and MPC’s it’s the same thing lol..it’s how you use the program.

Who are 3 people that inspire you and why?
Kanye West, Jay-Z, and Björk. They inspire me to be creative and stay working.

If we were to look at your desk/work station, what would we see?
A new Hp Desktop (Windows 7), Compaq laptop (Windows Vista), a Seagate external hard drive, and a ton of Verbatim flash drives.

I’m sure you spend some time on the internet, what are some sites you check out daily?
Flickr, Facebook, and Yayhooray.

Are there any current projects you are working on that you would care to spill the beans about?
Working on selling t-shirt’s of new designs I made and hope they play a part in the fashion world.

Have you ever imagined, got a fashion product especially Tee shirt, which that brand is always be a public buzz, they keep waiting for each new collection, They ordered before they launch their product. But those products aren't sell in general store without any exception for DISTRO which always be a fashion God for several teenagers... What if you are one of them who got this product, then you wearing it in the public spaces? Can you imagine how many people gonna see you and your Tee shirt that you wearing on your body while they keep thinking how can you get that shit? Yesterday i went up to TLT or Talenta for a ride and get chilled with the all crews then
I' straight met with Andika a.k.a prong cause he had promised me to give a MiniDV cassette
that contained the whole record of their skating activity. He asked me for a help to edit
the whole movie. And This is it, I'm not the greatest video editor but i think this movie
is quite nice to watch. I hate to labels a things, and i'd rather work hand in hand with
other scene, than behave like an anti social boy.

Who the hell we are?

We started twentygrand organically. We didn't set out to have a hot streetwear line and be a cool kid on the block, even at campus or school... Nor did we start twentygrand to get rich quick off a trend. Regardless of wether that means anything at the end of the day. I' think people can see and feel that in twentygrand and they appreciate the authenticity. A lot of things has inspired us like music, skateboard, BMX, and street art.

When we design a collection, we don't follow the trends. Again, not necessarily a good thing when you're in a business based on volume. That's not to say We don't want twentygrand to one day be a big successful brand... We most certainly do. But we wouldn't want to be in a position where our next meal is based solely upon the rag industry. We still believe that collecting T-shirt is a way of life, the best shirts in the industry can only be found beneath the surface, we kept our firm grounded in the street, we sell our shirt like a dope dealer, luxurious and exclusivity can't be made for mass volume. I've read so many designers interview around the world through magazine and do some web research, most of them says "Keep it simple stupid" when you design an art, that's why we kept our collection to be simple with solid identity behind it.

It's hard for us to say twentygrand stands out because our intention when we were creating was not to say "Hey team, we gotta stand out from the crowd! We gotta be different and be the coolest kid at campus!" It was not like that. I just though we gotta be ourselves. Do what we like and support what we we're into. A lot of clothing line brands out there who swear they know who their customer is, know how to make the best artwork and compare it between using pencil or computer based, the reality is many of them are lie and have become "high school" brands with concepts that burn out before graduation, they really don't have a solid identity. I'd rather make a good and consistent brand image than just a good artwork, because if you wanna start a clothing line a good designs are not enough, you also need lots of buzz and exclusivity.

Yuhhuuu Finnally I made it, I' can get my ass at TMII Green Skatepark at J-Town. Like I've told you before, there are some 2 rules that you have to obey in here. First rules is concrete Park and bowl are prohibited for bmx, those two concrete are for skate only. But don't be sad, for BMX'er can ride at dirt track. Now goes to rules no.2 If you're a skater so you have to pay a ticket to have fun in here for 1$ or IDR 10.000, but if you're a BMX'er you can ride for free dude, you can ride as long as you wanted. Manfaatkan hari libur atau weekend mu untuk mencobanya cause it's recomended to try dude. Karena masih baru jadi banyak banget yang maen, HTM-nya 10.000. Ada info tambahan dari Bang Panji Tengkorak kalau TMII skatepark, also known as GREEN PARK ada 3 area; concrete area (street course &bowl) hanya untuk skateboard, yg pengen ride uda disediakan dirt track disamping area concrete. so, just go there, bring yer deck n bike, have fun!!

Most of you probably know how to make a stencils, but for those who don’t we will make this easy and fun as it really is. You can put it on anything and make it look better and you can be a part of the twentygrand taking over. Here it goes follow each step careful and remember put a stencil in the wrong place at the wrong time you could get busted so think wisely. You can DOWNLOAD THE PDF FILE HERE for free! Click link bellow to see the instructions

The stencil is set up to print out on an A4 Paper sheet (we recommend 240gram drawing paper for best strength paper for stencil) of stock computer paper.
The twentygrand icon is already set up with dashed lines. We recommend you to use pen type cutter to the best detail cut, Once it is all cut out peel the printed paper off and your stencil is ready to go.

Use only flat spray paint it dries quicker and to be honest it is cheaper. Try to let the paint dry in between applications. That way it helps with the stencil not falling apart so quick.

Skate yang satu angkatan ama dia antara lain Jiwo, Qatro, Galih, Andi, dan masih banyak lagi tapi aku lupa he..he.. sekarang anggap aja dia ketua skate semarang ha..ha.. gw suka ama dia karena pemikirannya yang open minded dan melihat kedepan. Seperti manusia pada umumnya, disaat umur mulai bertambah, stuck di kepala untuk melakukan sesuatu hal yang lebih meaningful for his own life, bukan berarti skate ga berarti buat hidup dia, namun banyak hal yang juga menjadi prioritas lebih diutamakan such earn some money, think about your career, get married and the bla..bla..bla.. makanya sekarang dia udah jarang ada di Semarang dan sedikit waktu untuk bermain skate, cause he's already got a job at megapolitan City Jakarta as HRD di salah satu hotel disana. Final Open Competition (5 rider, 2 run), Best Trick dan Highest Air. Yang jelas pasti ada Hadiah-hadiah menarik di akhir acara ini dan boleh Get Drunk bagi para PissDrunkBMX.
